Welcome to the Year of the Snake.......Lunar New Year is a major celebration in many Asian cultures, marking the beginning of a new year based on the lunar calendar. Each year is associated with one of twelve zodiac animals, and 2025 will be the Year of the Snake. In Chinese astrology, the snake symbolizes wisdom, intuition, and transformation. People born in the Year of the Snake are often seen as intelligent, charming, and resourceful. During Lunar New Year, families gather for festive meals, exchange red envelopes for good luck, and take part in traditions to welcome prosperity and happiness in the year ahead.

This week the students held their 2024 Winter Concert. Led by our music teacher, Mrs. Brosky, the students enjoyed singing and dancing to holiday favorite tune... Boy was it 'sweet!

Students received an extra special visit from the "Big Man" himself.... they enjoyed speaking with Santa and spending time with him chatting about the holiday season and their Christmas lists.

Students celebrated winter with craft making and hot chocolate drinking in a 'transformed' gym ..... It certainly was ... A WINTER WONDERLAND....

5th Grade will Present......

Student's learned about the tradition of eating Latkes, a type of potato pancake or fritter in the Jewish cuisine that is prepared to celebrate Hanukkah.
